    1. Acceptance of Terms

    By accessing or using ResumeLab ("the Service", "Platform"), operated by ResumeLab ("we", "us", "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service and all applicable Malaysian laws and regulations. If you do not agree to these Terms, please discontinue use of the Service immediately. These Terms constitute a legally binding agreement between you and ResumeLab.

    2. Description of Service

    ResumeLab is an AI-powered career platform providing tools including resume building, cover letter generation, ATS analysis, interview coaching, salary negotiation assistance, and other career development features. Some features are available free of charge; premium features require a paid subscription. We reserve the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the Service at any time with reasonable notice.

    3. Eligibility

    You must be at least 18 years of age to use this Service. By registering, you confirm that you are 18 or older and have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement. If you are using the Service on behalf of a company or organisation, you represent that you have authority to bind that entity to these Terms.

    4. User Accounts

    You are responsible for:

    • Maintaining the confidentiality of your login credentials
    • All activity that occurs under your account
    • Providing accurate, current, and complete registration information
    • Notifying us immediately at support@resumelab.my of any unauthorised access

    We reserve the right to terminate or suspend accounts that violate these Terms, with prior notice where possible.

    5. Subscriptions and Payments

    • All payments are processed in Malaysian Ringgit (RM) via Stripe, a PCI-compliant payment processor
    • Subscriptions renew automatically monthly unless cancelled before the renewal date
    • You may cancel at any time through the Manage Subscription portal; cancellation takes effect at end of billing period
    • Prices are inclusive of applicable taxes unless stated otherwise
    • We reserve the right to change pricing with at least 30 days' advance notice

    Refund Policy: In accordance with the Consumer Protection Act 1999 (Malaysia), you may request a refund within 7 days of a charge if the Service was not delivered as described. Contact support@resumelab.my.

    6. Acceptable Use

    You agree not to use the Service to:

    • Violate any applicable Malaysian or international laws or regulations
    • Create false, misleading, or fraudulent content
    • Circumvent usage limits, rate limits, or access controls
    • Systematically scrape, copy, or extract data from the Platform
    • Reverse engineer, decompile, or attempt to access source code
    • Transmit malware, viruses, or any harmful code
    • Share account access with unauthorised third parties

    7. AI-Generated Content

    • AI-generated content is a starting point and may not always be accurate
    • You are solely responsible for reviewing and verifying all content before professional use
    • ResumeLab does not guarantee any specific employment outcomes
    • Content you generate remains your intellectual property

    8. Intellectual Property

    The ResumeLab platform, design, code, and branding are owned by ResumeLab and protected under applicable intellectual property laws. Content you create belongs to you. You grant ResumeLab a limited licence to store and process your content solely to provide the Service.

    9. Personal Data

    Your personal data is collected and processed in accordance with the Personal Data Protection Act 2010 (PDPA) of Malaysia and our Privacy Policy. By using the Service, you consent to such processing.

    10. Limitation of Liability

    • The Service is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind
    • We are not liable for indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages
    • Our total aggregate liability shall not exceed total fees paid in the three months preceding the claim

    11. Termination

    Either party may terminate this agreement at any time. We may suspend or terminate accounts for breach of these Terms. Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately.

    12. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

    These Terms are governed by the laws of Malaysia. Any dispute shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of Malaysia.

    13. Changes to Terms

    We may modify these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email at least 14 days before taking effect.
